Session 1: In this introductory class, students learn the basics of acrylic and watercolor painting from both observation and imagination. Students will learn to give paintings the illusion of space and volume using texture, value, and color theory among other skills. Basic drawing, art appreciation and the various types of paint/ painting tools and materials are also discussed. This class is geared towards absolute beginners, as well as artists with prior experience that want to hone their skills. Basic supplies included in tuition, suggested supply list to be distributed at the first class. Please have a sketchbook and pencil with you for the first class. Enroll in Session 1 now. Enroll in Session 2 by 2-13-2021 and receive a 10% discount off Session 2 tuition.
