This class is for anyone who is brand new and serves as the entry point for the other sessions we offer. A state of the art, disinfected, Concept II erg will be delivered to participants’ homes and given instructions on how to access iCrew and the Zoom meeting room for our classes. You are shown how to transport and store the rowing machine and schedule a pick-up time for Saturday or Sunday.
In-class athletes learn the basic functions of the machine, how to adjust the settings and set it up for workouts. Athletes learn the fundamentals of the rowing stroke and using their whole body efficiently and effectively. The erg allows athletes to learn about intensity, lifetime fitness, technique and leverage, as well as the core of the sport, teamwork.
Registration Requirements: Lake Oswego Community Rowing has teamed up with Parks & Receation to provide easy access to information and registration for all rowing activities. Enrollment in any rowing program is dependent on the following requirements:
- Current and Signed Float Test Form
- Lake Oswego Community Rowing Forms
- Completed USRowing Waiver
