Middle School and Gap Rowing
This weekend-only rowing program is for middle school or high school students that are not quite ready to commit to the demands of Novice Rowing. Develop a lifetime love of rowing by focusing on the fundamentals of the sport. Participants learn the basics of the rowing stroke, safe navigation, and correct use of equipment over a 20-week program. Athletes engage in structured physical exercise and guided games with the focus to safely develop cardiovascular, flexibility and muscular fitness.
Eligibility: *No experience required* open to youth who entered 7th - 8th grade in Fall 2021, or Novice High School rowers. Preference given to 8th grade athletes. Attendance is mandatory on the first 2 days for an in-depth orientation to the boathouse, equipment, and safety. Voluntary attendance for all remaining sessions.

If you have any questions or issues with your class please contact LOCR directly at firstname.lastname@example.org or 503-451-0490 If you are a current rower and have previously rowed with us in the last 12 months, we do not need new forms. If you have never rowed with us, please complete the following: 1. LOCR iCrew App sign up - instructions at www.lakeoswegorowing.com/icrew 1. Registration code is ‘roses’. 2.
