Functional age is a concept that a measure other than chronological age could better reflect one's position in the aging process. The role with this training group is to introduce and practice all areas of functional training together exploring your individual strengths and areas to improve in order to increase physical function for your day to day lifestyle and individual goals. These areas we will develop regular and progressive practices include; Neuromuscular function - reaction time, proprioception, motor control, coordination Musculoskeletal - strength, power, joint integrity, endurance Cognitive function- processing, memory, attention Mobility- sit to stand, walking gait, agility, obstacle negotiation Balance- multisensory, postural, center of gravity control, vestibular integrity Cardiorespiratory- anaerobic, aerobic.
