If you are motivated to train at a high and enjoyable level, maximize your athletic potential, and train in a Christ-centered environment, the Valor XC & Distance Academy is for you! This is the second of two 8 Week Winter Training programs designed for all middle schoolers (current 6th - 8th graders) looking to get in shape for the train for future XC seasons, spring racing, or just looking to get fit for an upcoming athletic season. Training will be based on the experience of each athlete. We will spend the winter working on flexibility, running mechanics, speed, core strength, power/explosiveness, aerobic conditioning, race pace work, race strategy, etc. This is a , strong> training only program. Competitive opportunities and instructions will be communicated by Coach Coplen and his staff based on the availability of those opportunities We will meet Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday afternoons from 4:00 to 5:00 PM starting January 4th and running through February 25th. Training will take place primarily on the trails around the Highlands Ranch area (Grigs East/West Trailhead, High Line Canal, The Bluffs, etc). Coach Coplen will communicate location information on a weekly basis.
