Intro to fashion and design teaches students (Ages 7-14) how to design and make a simple garment using their measurements. This class teaches fashion sketching, using a measuring tape, basic pattern drafting terms, and understanding how fabrics and patterns work with the body. The final project is designing and sewing their own item of clothing! Must have previous sewing experience or have taken Beginning Sewing session. Materials: Sewing supplies, fabrics, and thread are provided. Sewing Machine: Having a personal sewing machine is preferred, but not required. Student sewing machines are available.
