Description

This activity may not be registered for individually because it is part of a package.

We would like to host your school group during the 2019-2020 school year at the Haverford Reserve; a site with 124 acres of open space, 2 first order streams, 4 water basins, and a native grass meadow. We offer 1.5 hours of education tailored to STEAM requirements in addition to free time at the Freedom Playground. We have curriculums for students grades K-6 in topics ranging from water to animals to trees.

Themes -

  • Fall/Spring Nature Exploration (Grades K-1)
  • Soil Adventurers (Grades 1-5)
  • Watershed Investigator (Grades 2-5)
  • All About Animals (Grades 2-5)
  • Fun with Flora (Grades 2-5)

Fee $7/student, contact Jesse Hart: jhart@havtwp.org for more info.

Rain Policy: Because we do not have access to an indoor facility, we reserve the right to postpone field trips due to severe weather. Most of our trip is under some sort of cover so light rain won't impact the experience. We make sure to touch base prior to the field trip and again on the day of the trip.

Bathroom Access: There will be access to a bathroom at the beginning and end of the field trip. We'll always be in close proximity to a bathroom so a chaperone can take children to the restroom during the trip.

Lunch: Upon arrival, students/teachers can drop off their lunches and belongings for storage during your trip. Once the educational portion of the trip is over, you'll be brought to a roped-off area next to Freedom Playground.

Parking: The school bus can pick-up/drop-off/park in the lot along Parkview Drive.
