This course in music production will merge students' existing knowledge of instrumental or choral music with the technological skills with which to produce a finished track. Students will learn about roles in music production, the importance of innovation, and how to turn an idea into a fully produced track. By the end of class, students will have a completed track to share with family and friends as well as a deeper knowledge of music production. Students do not need prior production experience but should have a basic knowledge of music (instrumental or choral). This course will be held fully virtually. Students will need access to stable internet as well as an Apple device (iPad, Mac) to access Garageband. Students without an Apple device should contact the Director of Summer Programs to be set up with a device for the duration of the class.
