Do you have a favorite song or skit you’ve dreamed of performing? Do you want to strut your stuff and show off your original dance moves? This is the class for you! BlackRock Center for the Arts and ArtStream have partnered up to help prepare you for a virtual showcase. Perfect your routine, practice the basics of performing for the camera, and get ready for a fun virtual night in showing off your talents to friends and family. Whether its singing, dancing, or a dramatic reenactment, BlackRock and ArtStream’s talented teaching artists are ready to help YOU showcase your best self!
Class meets for four weeks online on Monday evenings, and the performing showcase will be held on the last Monday at 7 pm. Claim your spot today!
ArtStream’s mission: Through collaborative performance and lifelong learning opportunities, people with intellectual and developmental disabilities gain the skills and confidence to engage with the world.
ArtStream’s programs encourage collaboration and engage people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDDs) - including autism - in lifelong learning opportunities. Through ArtStream’s classes, social skills workshops, and performing companies, participants gain skills and confidence to engage with the world. Some information we ask participants for in our registration forms include:
-Emergency contact name and phone number -Medical or other pertinent information (physical, cognitive, or emotional disabilities, verbal v non-verbal) -Coping methods: how can an instructor know the participant is comfortable? What works best for encouraging focus and participation?
