Description
This class is presented through a partnership with Gottaswing.
Learn the essentials with Washington, DC's most popular swing dance instructors! Our beginner class session takes you through the basics of swing: six-count, eight-count Lindy Whip and Circle, and both side-by-side and Back Charleston.
No walk-ins allowed; you must be registered for the entire session.
Dance Attire
All seasonal dance class students should wear comfortably clothes that allow for easy movement to class. This can include dancewear, athleisure wear, sweats, or shorts and a t-shirt unless otherwise noted.
Ballet: Girls: Solid color leotard, tights, ballet slippers; Guys: White t-shit, black shorts, ballet shoes
Jazz: Athleisure or dancewear and jazz shoes
Hip Hop: Fitness clothes, clean sneakers or jazz shoes
Kuchipudi: Barefeet
Little Belles: Barefeet with tights and a loose t-shirt
Synergy Dance Fitness: Fitness clothes, sneakers
West African Dance: Fitness or dance clothes and a lapa (large piece of African fabric wrapped around the waist) if available
