Description
We're sorry, but this course is over. The last meeting was Thursday, December 1, 2022.
Improvisation is the art of acting without a script. Students work in the format of theatre games or short form scenes, which address important theatre skills such as listening, making clear choices, timing, and teamwork. Exercises encourage students to make spontaneous character and conflict choices and learn what sustains those choices for the length of the scene. Students also learn to focus on their partners and say “yes!” to actions and characters introduced into a scene. Parents are invited to observe the last 30 minutes of the last class for an informal sharing where students will share what they learned in class (subject to change depending on COVID protocols).
