Psychologically, emotionally, spiritually, what are our best friends (helpers) and our worst enemies (obstacles)? We will draw from abundant literature on the topic and look at historical and maybe fictional examples. There are reasons that this time of our lives really can be our worst or our best, so we will examine them together and learn from one another. Bill Coates entered this club not long ago and, after a lifetime of close pastoral dealings with many in this group, is eager to share and learn. Former pastor of First Baptist in Gainesville for twenty years, he holds degrees in English, Religion, History, and Divinity and a PhD in Literature.
