About this event
Creativity with dry pastels will be developed in an atmosphere of individual artistic expression, encouraging guidance and focused learning in various aspects of elevating your pastel paintings into this vibrant medium’s. Each class will begin by exploring an aspect of this medium’s unique characteristics and applying them, then time is yours to express through color and strokes. You’ll receive guidance and support for new perspectives. (Optional) Instructor Provided Materials: A $20 materials fee to be paid directly to the instructor includes: selected pastel papers, alcohol, cups, wax paper, index cards, use of hard pastels. Student Materials List: · Your own collection of hard, medium and soft dry pastels 3 of your own source photos · Black and White copy of source photos · Sketching pencil · Cheap or old paint brush (minimum size 1” flat) · Cardboard or foam core (minimum size 24 x 26”)
