In an all-encompassing theatrical experience, students learn acting, singing and dancing as well as production disciplines such as costumes, props, make-up and staging and use these skills to put on a final show in the Abdo New River Room.
Set in New York City's High School for the Performing Arts, Fame JR. is the inspiring story of a diverse group of students who commit to four years of artistic and academic work. With candor, humor and insight, the show explores the issues that confront many young people today. Fame JR. features a high-energy, contemporary pop score and a touching coming-of-age story.
This class is offered in partnership with The Performance Project School of the Arts. Fee includes script and basic costume.*This is a hybrid class. The class starts with weekly Zoom meetings and concludes with in-person final performances in accordance with CDC and state and local health & safety guidelines.
