Description

The WINTER Term Driver’s Education program will provide 30 hours of classroom instruction during February Vacation week from Tuesday, February 17 - Saturday, February 21nd from 8 am - 2:30 pm (includes a 1/2 hour lunch break each day). Students must attend all classes and if a class is missed, the student will need to make it up in the next session scheduled for the end of the school year. The mandatory parent class will take place on Wednesday, February 18th from 6 - 8 pm. The Driver’s Education program also includes a driving component consisting of 18 hours; 12 hours of in-car, behind-the-wheel training, and 6 hours of in-car experience observing other student drivers. All road practice and observation will take place by appointment with the driving instructor. Students must be 15 years, 9 months by the first day of class to be eligible to enroll. Please note that Activenet charges a 7.2% transaction fee based on tuition for on-line registrations. If you wish to avoid this fee, you may fill out a registration form and check and mail it in to the Before and After Dark office. Drivers Education tuition is non-refundable after January 30, 2026.
