Description
Aqua Zumba is designed for anyone who can follow instructions and manage being in water.
What is Aqua Zumba and How it works:
Aqua Zumba keeps the workout party going to the pool, led by instructor’s who have specialty licenses and aquatic exercise certification. Is classic Aqua aerobics with Latin and international flavor added. Students perform large muscle movements by reaching the arms and lifting the legs in the water, as well as circling the hips and shoulders. The typical land-based Zumba dance steps , such as CHA CHA, merengue, salsa, mambo and other international moves, need to be more exaggerated and slower in the water, so the water tempo is half the land tempo.
Is a fun choice with a little impact. Is also a low impact. Elderly people may prefer Aqua Zumba instead of senior fitness at the gym, or if they have had a hip or knee replacement. 80-90% of the body weight is displaced in the water when the water is at your chest level. This your knees, hips and back undergo less pounding. At the same time your muscles will work in different ways as you deal with the resistance of the water rather than gravity.
