ABOUT THE RUN: The Duck River Trail Run 5k & 15k take place along the scenic trails of Chickasaw Trace Park located just northwest of the city of Columbia, Tennessee. Net proceeds from this event benefit Maury County Parks & Recreation and efforts to continue the preservation and care of Chickasaw Trace Park which provides a quality place for families and individuals to gather and recreate. ABOUT MAURY COUNTY PARKS & RECREATION: Maury County Parks & Recreation strives to provide recreational and educational opportunities, services and programs to expand our community involvement, create a higher standard of living and to enrich and enhance the lives of our citizens. Maury County Parks offer a variety of recreational opportunities for residents and visitors of Maury County. The Maury County Parks and Recreation Department oversees 6 different park facilities which have a combined acreage of roughly 1,000 acres. Maury County is also connected to vast areas of state managed recreational property that includes more than 14,000 acres. The Duck River, the most biologically diverse river in North America with over 50 species of freshwater mussel and 151 species of fish, runs through the heart of the County.
