We're sorry, but this activity is over. The last meeting was Saturday, June 20, 2020.
At the end of the 19th century Edouard Manet completed a painting that included two nude females picnicking with two formally dressed males. At the time, this painting was shocking to most viewers but inspirational to many artists such as: Monet, Matisse, Picasso, and Van Gogh. Multiple art styles emerged including Impressionism, Expressionism, Cubism, Fauvism and Abstraction. This presentation will explore those early styles of Modern art and we will discuss how the art world was changed forever. Students will receive an email one-day prior to the start of class with Zoom link from instructor. For more information: Danielle Bassett at firstname.lastname@example.org.
