We're sorry, but this activity is over. The last meeting was Friday, March 19, 2021.
Paddle away the winter blues while enjoying the transition of winter to spring during this 2-hour kayak tour. We will explore the edges of McDowell Nature Preserve along the shores of Lake Wylie in search of wildlife such as green herons, kingfishers, and possibly even beaver. No walk-ins accepted. Pre-registration required.
Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation follows all CDC guidelines and Governor’s orders. Participants are expected to wear a mask indoors at all times and outdoors if social distancing guidelines cannot be met. Participants may be less than 6’ apart during an outdoor program. At that time, we will ask everyone to wear a mask. If you cannot, you will be asked to stand more than 6’ away.
Please bring your own water bottle, towel, extra clothes, sunscreen, hat and a snack. Must be able to paddle for an extended period of time.
