Neuroscientists recommend playing Mah Jongg, a complex thinking game, to improve memory. Psychologists deem it low-cost therapy. Players call it fun! A tile-based, four player game created for the ruling class during the time of Confucius in China, Mah Jongg has now spread world-wide. The object of the game is to collect winning sets of tiles. The tiles, however, have characters not numbers and the rules are a little more intriguing. this 6-week class with instructor Melinda Colwell, teaches the modernized and westernized version. Class fee includes a tile card. Each participant will be required to bring hteir own Mah Jongg set. (Borrow a friend's, buy your own. The Senior Center can also assist in ordering a set for you. Call for more information on this. )
