About this event
In this theater workshop, we will stage one show each semester to be performed school wide - most likely a comedy or a mystery - but that will depend upon the group dynamic. This class is for anyone who is interested; all needed skills (character development, movement, vocal technique, and script analysis) will be taught as we go along! Our young actors will learn theater warm-ups and improvisations at the beginning of each class. We will then move on to audition technique by doing cold readings of scenes and monologues from one or more plays. Then we will dive into rehearsals for a play selected for the particular ensemble group. We will find and create props, costumes, and simple scenery to enhance our production.
