About this event
Experiment with a variety of materials and sewing techniques for making a fantastical stuffed creature. You can craft a critter from a selection of patterns provided by the instructor, or draft your own. Choose from a variety of reclaimed materials including felt, knits, and leather, and embellish your new friend with beads, baubles, trims, and paint. You are also invited to bring your own materials and stuffing. Working with upcycled materials and taking an experimental and process-oriented approach is encouraged. By the end of the workshop, we will have created a fantastical menagerie! Everything you need to make a creature will be provided, but you are invited to bring your sewing machine and any preferred materials and sewing tools. This workshop is open to all levels of sewing experience.
