Immerse yourself in the beauty of the natural world through watercolor landscapes. In this six-week course, students will expand their foundational watercolor skills and explore a variety of techniques including wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry, dry brush, lifting, and blending. Working from a range of photographic references, we’ll focus on interpreting light, atmosphere, and perspective while building confidence in composition and color mixing. Along the way, we’ll experiment with creative surface techniques such as salt, wax resist, and Saran Wrap to add texture and depth. Students will leave with a collection of landscape studies and at least one finished piece that reflects their individual artistic voice.
