In this studio class, you will work with your source photographic images and mixed media such as paper, paint, material and layering experimenting with color, composition and material with pencil, ink, paint and pastels. 2D and 3D approaches are equally encouraged. Participants will be introduced to artists who work in the vein of collage and assemblage pushing their photographic into new realms. We will discuss formal and conceptual principle in those artists' work as well as in student projects. Participants will be introduced to various adhesives and sealants to work with, as well as papers and as the gel photo transfer methods as a method for your work.
