About this event
This course (designed for intermediate or beginning printers) will move through the nuts and bolts of screen printing to more advanced techniques while supporting students in developing their own personal projects. Interested in working large scale? With multi-layers? In a large edition? Or using alternative materials/substrates? Informed by contemporary art and experimental printmaking, students will be guided to create works in screen print moving towards each artist's personal practice and goals. This class will introduce both traditional and DIY screenprinting in hand-drawn, experimental and digital stencils (including photographic imagery) and will cover techniques for printing on paper, fabric and alternative materials. This class will balance technique and studio time with concept generation and group conversation to get your ideas flowing.
