Do you have a passion for fashion? Have you ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes before you purchase that "perfect" outfit at the clothing store or on line? Join us as we learn about the principles of Fashion Design, History of Fashion, how to draw a figure and render fabrics as we use our own inspiration to create a fashion illustration board, make our own pattern, and finish off by draping our design in fabric and embellishments on a dress form. About the teacher: Mrs. Lemon has been the Logic Art teacher at Regents for four years. Her Bachelor degree is in Fashion Design, and before she became an art teacher, she worked in Dallas as a Fashion Designer at Jones of Dallas, specializing in Sportswear and Women's Formal Dresses. She believes that you can learn about design from a variety of lenses and vantage points, and fashion is one of them. She has spent her life exploring and developing amazing ways to encourage and engage children in the art of self-expression, creativity, and thinking. In the words of Fashion Designer, Carly Cushnie; "Life is too short to wear boring clothes."
