About this event
Thank you for your interest in a need-based scholarship for a Summer @ IMSA residential program in Aurora. After you finalize the initial application form, log into your account to complete/ submit these two forms to IMSA to complete your application: 1. Scholarship Eligibility: To qualify for a scholarship, the student’s family is required to submit proof of financial eligibility: if you qualify for SNAP or Free/Reduced Lunch, you qualify, but we need you to submit proof of eligibility/participation in these programs. If you do not have a form in your possession or have difficulty getting it from your school or IDHS, you may submit a screenshot showing eligibility. Please contact us at studentenrichment@imsa.edu if you have difficulty with this requirement. Alternatively, a 2021 or 2022 federal tax return showing proof of family income may be submitted. To submit this requirement, please upload a JPEG or PDF image of the completed forms to your ACTIVE.com account. 2. Student Essay (Have your student complete this online). Essay Question: Why are you passionate about STEM? How can a Summer @ IMSA program help you to develop this passion further? A teacher recommendation is also required to complete your application. You will list a teacher and their contact information in the initial scholarship application form. We will contact the teacher on your behalf to complete a short recommendation form, but it is ultimately your responsibility to make sure your teacher completes and submits this form.
