VIRTUAL QUARANTINE RELIEF SCULPTURE HANDBUILDING/ Iris Eve Schaer
Thursday from 10 AM - 12:30 PM

October 1st - November 19th

8 Weeks

During this time of quarantine, we all need Relief - relief sculpture, that is! We will focus on the history of this technique and will be creating our own examples inspired by our time in isolation. Relief sculptural techniques can be found in any artwork that has form or volume which projects from the background surface. Ancient Egyptian Hieroglyphs, Cameo Pendants and Mount Rushmore are great examples. Please prepare by beginning to recognize different textures you interact with daily and find a special photograph of a loved one that brings you happiness.

Students will receive an email with the link to the Virtual Class between 1-3 days prior to the start of the virtual class.

All virtual classes will be hosted on Microsoft Teams.

If you need assistance with Microsoft Teams, please email akadri@atlantaga.gov
