Description
Learn how to use a pottery wheel to throw functional artwork, such as vases, mugs, bowls, and plates! Demonstrations will cover wedging, centering, throwing, trimming, decorating, and glazing techniques. Students will also learn about the kiln firing process. This class is perfect for beginners and those who need a refresher if they haven’t thrown in quite some time.
All participants must be 18 or older.
Supply Notes:
This class includes 26 of hours of independent studio time, 25 pounds of clay, all firing, slips and glazing supplies. New students will need to purchase a basic wheel throwing kit, available at the first class session or in the online shop .
Covid-19 Policy for Winter Term Classes: Vaccinations and masks are encouraged, but not required for students attending classes. The A2AC reserves the right to update this policy at any time in response to changing circumstances.
