Container gardening is a fascinating way to grow plants and has expanded the horizons of gardening for so many people, often as the only way apartment and condominium dwellers are able to garden.
Planting in containers has also provided a contemporary aspect to today’s gardening activities. The use of unusual plants in unusual pots and containers provides interest and color to surroundings that were once considered drab and ordinary.
Especially rewarding for those who have only a patio, deck or balcony on which to grow plants, container gardens provide the right touch needed for those wanting to grow their own food in a tight space. Turn your gardening dreams into reality!
Join Anchorage Parks and Recreation staff for this informative, fun class that will cover the basics of container vegetable gardens; from supplies to green-thumb growing tips. Class meets Friday April, 2022 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Lidia Selkregg Chalet parking lot.
