Lace up your shoes and be a part of a local running tradition. The Aptos Women's 5-Miler was started 30 years ago to give women a chance to run with other women. And women keep coming back each year to run this rolling hills course that goes from paved roads to trails. If you don't want to run the 5-mile course, you can take part of a shorter, scenic single-track trail that travels through the oak and redwood forest.

Pretty Muddy Women's Mud Run

"Oh girls just want to have fun" and they certainly do at the Pretty Muddy. This 5K adventurous obstacle course is just for the ladies, sorry guys. So have fun and spend time with your friends as you tackle 3.1 miles of mud (lots of it!), climb over architectural obstacles, and dance your heart out at the post-race party. This is one muddy and sweaty race that you'll have a blast barreling through.
Liv/Giant Mermaid Tri & Dualathon

Take in the oceanfront panoramic views run, bike, and swim through this fast and flat course. Distances are short, which makes the Mermaid Tri and Duathlon perfect for newbies, yet a chance for veterans to set a PR.
