About this event
Learn to Speak “Plant” with Confidence Have you ever wondered what your houseplants are trying to tell you? In this introductory language course, students will explore the foundational elements of plant communication, including tone, timing, and environmental cues. Topics include encouraging growth through verbal affirmation, recognizing subtle plant responses, and developing your own conversational style with a variety of common household plants. No prior plant language experience required—just bring curiosity and a willingness to listen. Instructor: Dr. Fern Greenleaf Dr. Greenleaf is a self-described “botanical linguist” who has spent over a decade studying plant-human interaction in both controlled and highly conversational environments. She holds a (somewhat informal) doctorate in Plant Communication Studies and has led workshops throughout New England on topics ranging from “Whispering to Succulents” to “Boundary Setting with Overwatered Herbs.” Her teaching style is calm, encouraging, and deeply rooted in the belief that all plants—and people—thrive when they feel heard. YOU FOUND OUR APRIL FOOL'S DAY JOKE CLASS!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! YOU HAVE NOW BEEN ENTERED INTO OUR DRAWING FOR A FREE CLASS (UP TO $50). WE WILL ANNOUNCE THE WINNER ON MONDAY, APRIL 6.
