What are my electronic instruments, and what are they really telling me? This introductory class covers the essential electronic tools that support safe navigation, including depth sounders, GPS, chart plotters, AIS, radar, and VHF radios. You’ll learn the strengths and limitations of each system, as well as the most common user errors and how to avoid them. The class also includes a Pilothouse simulator video and hands-on practice with making a mayday call.
