If you are unable to attend, you will still be able to pick up your shirt and finisher medal at the police department after the event (we will just swap your category to VIRTUAL). If you are experiencing COVID symptoms, please DO NOT attend. We can swap your registration to VIRTUAL or you can transfer the registration. If you would prefer to transfer your registration to another person, you will be able to do that through active.com or by emailing us at email@example.com. This event is brought to you by the Winter Haven Police Department and all of the proceeds will be donated to Special Olympics Florida, Inc., a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. The course is in downtown Winter Haven beginning in the area of the library and continuing around the beautiful Lake Silver.
The race entry fee includes a gun metal grey Special Olympics Torch Run t-shirt (cotton or dri-fit). We also have a limited number of dri-fit RACERBACK TANKS for ladies (choose the dri-fit registration option, then TANK will be available in the shirt selection drop down).
We have FINISHER medals for all 5k participants! You CAN walk the 5k if you’d like to earn a finisher medal (1 milers do not receive a finisher medal which is reflected in the price difference).
Our COVID plan includes required facemasks at packet pick up, and anytime not on the race course, a rolling start time, no live award ceremony after the event. Please stay tuned to our active site and Facebook page for further details about the plan.
*** UNAVAILABLE ON RACE DAY? There is also a VIRTUAL run. Register for the virtual run if you are unavailable on race day. You will be able to attend packet pick up (prior to event day) or make arrangements to pick up after the event to receive your medal and shirt.

Day of packet pick up : Please wear your mask! March 13, 2021, beginning at 6:30 AM at the library.
Parking: Please utilize the Winter Haven Parking Garage, located on the corner of 3rd St. NW and Ave. A NW. Please do NOT park around Central Park (between Ave. A NW and Central Ave.).
Event details: The 5k has a ROLLING START TIME (7AM-8:15AM * subject to change as we get closer to the event). Please plan to attend packet pick up and then wait at your car for the start time. If the start window has already opened, please attend pick up and then head to the start line.
