About this event

Description

Spend the day pining after pine trees! In this program, we will explore the relationship between people and the plants around them. This session will focus on the longleaf pine. We will discuss the importance of ethnobotany, go for a short hike while learning how longleaf pine trees have been used over time, and practice sustainable harvesting. We will end with a cup of pine tea while you start crafting a pine needle bracelet to take home. Participants will get to take home the pine needles they harvest and ideas for how to use them.
