Description

Get creative this holiday season and make your own Ceramic Mug Set! This 2-Day workshop is led by ceramics instructor Xenia Shuman who will demo and provide a step by step guide to creating and building a set of 2 mugs. Mugs will be hand built using slabs of clay. Students will learn concepts of building with slabs and coils of clay. Xenia will also demo sgraffito carving to incorporate into the decoration. This is a great workshop for those at any skill level or for those with little to no experience. Make your mug set for your own use or gift them to a loved one!

The first meeting date on December 3rd is focused around creating and building your set of mugs. This day will last 3 hours will be a bit messy. The second meeting date on December 10th will focus on glazing your mugs which is the final step to completing them and takes less time. Finished mugs will be ready to pick up no later than December 17th (may be earlier depending on firing times)
Instructor Xenia is incredibly welcoming and fosters a fun environment. This is a great workshop to take as an activity with friends/family before the holidays or to get some creative alone time away from the stress of the holidays!There is a $35 fee for this workshop which covers the cost of materials.
