About this event
Ready to bring your ideas to life? This introductory STEM camp is where you'll design, create, and 3D print models that you can actually play with! Students will dive into the world of 3D modeling using industry-standard tools like TinkerCAD and Onshape. We'll start with simple, solid models and progress to more complex articulated designs and ""print-in-place"" creations. Throughout the week, you'll learn the essential principles of designing specifically for 3D printing, which is the foundation of modern prototyping and design. By the end of this engaging week, every student will: master the fundamentals of 3D model design in TinkerCAD and Onshape; understand the mechanics and process of 3D printing; get to play and compete with the functional models they designed; and each student will receive and take home all of their completed 3D prints.
