This program goes beyond the basics of child safety to help you launch your own babysitting business. You will learn how to confidently manage bedtime routines, plan fun and engaging activities, and keep kids safe with essential emergency first aid training and problem-solving skills. We also focus heavily on the business side of babysitting: you’ll learn how to build your personal brand, create marketing materials, set fair hourly rates, and successfully interview with parents. To make sure you are fully prepared, we will help you put together your own physical "Babysitter's Toolkit"—a customized bag packed with go-to activities, basic supplies, and essential items to bring along every time you babysit. Please Note: Successful participants will receive Emergency First Aid training and a certificate of completion to show families they are a responsible and prepared sitter. Whether you are getting ready to watch younger siblings or want to start taking on clients, you will leave this full-day camp with the skills and confidence to handle almost any situation you might face.
