If you have a passion for fashion and dreams of seeing your designer outfits on the runway, then this program is for you! In this introduction to fashion design, you will explore the core elements of the industry and learn about the design process. You will experience life as a designer by creating your own “label” for your portfolio and learning embellishment techniques on acrylic and mixed media projects. Gain a sense of what it takes to be a successful fashion designer as you design your own fashion illustrations and technical (flat) drawings, learn how to accessorize, and take great fashion photos. It all leads up to our Friday Finale, where you'll collaboratively write the runway script, plan the music and photos, and walk the catwalk in your favourite outfits! No experience required. This is a full-day program.
