Campers will step into the role of Lead Designers, exploring the physics of speed—from aerodynamics that slice through the air to the friction that keeps their wheels on the track. Using the Engineering Design Process, teams will sketch, prototype, and refine a custom mini-model go-kart using specialized materials. The week builds toward our high-octane Grand Prix Tournament, where teams face off in three distinct challenges: The Speed Sprint: A test of pure velocity. The Aerodynamic Glide: A distance challenge for the most efficient build. The "Egg Driver" Safety Test: A high-stakes crash simulation where survival is the only goal!
