About this event

Description

Most job searches fail before the first application is ever submitted. This course helps participants shift from applying broadly to pursuing roles with clarity and intention. Understanding your worth and identity is key to a successful job search.

Over two sessions, participants will define what the right role looks like based on their strengths, goals, and preferences. The course covers how to evaluate job descriptions, identify transferable skills, and avoid applying to roles that are misaligned. Participants will also learn how to research companies and organize a more focused and strategic job search.
This course is ideal for early career professionals, those considering a career change, or anyone feeling stuck in their current search. Students should come prepared with 2 job opportunities and a resume (rough draft is fine) for the job searching exercises. This course is suitable for all professional levels.
Deliverables:
Participants will receive:
  • Personal Branding Worksheet
  • Career Goal Worksheet
  • Job Search Strategy Guide, and a
  • Electronic customizable Excel-based job tracking template to organize applications, research, and outreach efforts.

By the end of the course, participants will have a clearer direction and a structured approach to navigating the job market with confidence.
