Painting Foundations

Strong paintings start with a great foundation. Even when you want to break the ‘rules’, it’s important to do so with intention! In this class, we will dive into the core foundations of creating a great painting, including composition, value, and rhythm, and look at how master artists have incorporated these ideas into their work. Through creative observation and practice, we will spend time with each concept, and see how they work together to make an engaging painting.
