SATURDAY 9 AM - 5 PM, SUNDAY 9 AM - 3 PM Design and create your own 8" x 15" stained glass window panel using clean, geometric lines and colorful rectangular pieces of glass. You'll learn how to cut glass, develop your own design, assemble your panel using traditional zinc came, and complete it with professionally soldered joints. By the end of the workshop, you'll leave with a beautiful handcrafted window panel ready to display in your home. *Students must wear closed toe shoes and clothes that can get dirty. I live in Northern Virginia with my husband of 50 years and our wonderful golden retriever. We are blessed to have our son, daughter in law and two perfect granddaughters close by. I began doing stained glass thirty plus years ago when my father could no longer pursue his glass hobby due to advancing Alzheimer’s. I began the transition from traditional stained glass to fused glass about fifteen years ago. When I retired in 2013, I put all of my energies and focus into learning and experimenting with glass fusing techniques and products. Fused glass embodies everything I love about glass; color, sparkle, design and texture. I teach several fused glass workshops a year using techniques I have developed to allow non glass folks to make their own fused glass product in a short two hour fun event without needing tools or glass cutting skills.
