This program allows for any/all individuals with ASD to learn the basics of what it takes to camp and be successful while camping. We will spend 8 weeks in the classroom learning basic camping skills and practicing skills: pitching a tent, building a camp fire, basics of being in nature, and other camping necessities. At the conclusion of the camping class, families will be invited to join us on a one-night camping excursion. The excursion IS NOT included in the class and is optional. FACT will not pay for or supply materials for the camping excursion- families will be required to pay for the camp site and bring any materials needed to camp.
