Who: participants with autism who are 6 and older What: Co-ed Yoga Our coaches and staff will use their expertise, modeling, and visuals to teach skills and understanding of the practice. Yoga offers powerful physical and mental benefits by combining physical postures, controlled breathing, and meditation. We hope to use this as an opportunity to improve our athlete's balance, flexibility, and strength through a relaxing activity. Parents/Caretakers/Families are welcome to participate alongside the participant. FACT can provide up to 15 mats, but families are welcome to bring their own. Where: FACT Autism Resource Center 3509 Virginia Beach Blvd Virginia Beach, VA 23452 When: Saturday mornings September 7- October 26, 2024 9:00am-10:00am Why: Our goal is for every child to walk out of the gym with a smile on their face, but we also hope to increase our athlete’s physical endurance, coordination, attention, and social interaction through team play. Parents welcome to join in and participate.
