What: GonnawannaCREATEagin' The first 1/2 of this class will will focus on designing and decorating our FACT bus as we plan to march in the VB Holiday Parade at the beach! We will design costumes and material to decorate our bus and participants will be invited to walk / ride in the parade with us! The second 1/2 of the class will focus on making crafts geared towards the holidays. These crafts can be gifted to family members, or kept as decorations around the house as we approach the winter holidays. Crafts will potentially include a paint night (w/ an instructor), cinnamon ornaments, and more! More details will be provided about the parade as we get closer to the date. (If our application is rejected for the parade, we will still dress up and go caroling / do something on a different night) Who: Participants w/ ASD who are between 6 and 40 years old FACT crafting programs are recommended for students with receptive language skills enough to follow a simple single step directions with attempt to imitate actions. Crafting is staffed on a 1:4/5 ratio (1 staff per 4 or 5 participants). Activities can be adapted to meet the needs of all individuals as art is a way to express oneself and there is rarely ever a wrong answer! Where: FACT Autism Resource Center 3509 Virginia Beach Blvd Virginia Beach, VA 23452 When: November 11 to December 16, 2025 on Tuesday evenings from 6:00-7:30pm with the Parade on Saturday December 6nd, 2025 Cost: There is a one-time registration fee of $90 *This is due to the cost of supplies and material required for our crafters to be successful each week.
