Join the chorus and be part of the Victoria Conservatory’s OperaFest production of Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas!Sing, learn, and perform, be coached by Conservatory’s excellent vocal faculty, and then take the stage for two final performances in Alix Goolden Performance Hall.It’s a wonderful chance to build your skills and experience one of the most beloved works in the Baroque opera repertoire.
Rehearsals are from 10 AM to 5 PM on August 4,5,6,7, 10,11,12,13,14 with performances on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at 2 PM and 7 PM.This program is for advanced vocal students aged 13 and over. Admission to the chorus is by taped audition. Students must have prior chroal experience and be able to read music. Please send a 5-minute video of your singing of a classical vocal work to Artistic Director Colin Doroschuk at voice.classical@vcm.bc.ca.There is a $250 fee to participate in this two-week opera program.
