The Victoria Conservatory of Music, in collaboration with the Christ Church Cathedral School, is holding a Junior Strings Music Camp at Christ Church Cathedral School at 912 Vancouver Street. This is a fun, motivating spring break program designed for young violin, viola, cello, and bass players who are building foundational skills. Through a blend of ensemble rehearsals, guided practice, music games, and creative music‑making activities, participants will strengthen technique, develop confident musicianship, and experience the joy of playing together. Students will learn essential ensemble skills—such as listening, blending, following a conductor, and collaborating with peers—while exploring age‑appropriate repertoire in a supportive environment. Ideal for beginner to early‑intermediate players, this camp welcomes students with at least a basic familiarity with their instrument. Our high ratio of faculty to students gives plenty of opportunities for lots of student attention throughout the week. No audition is required; simply bring your instrument, curiosity, and enthusiasm for music!
