Jazz Jam: Improving Your Performance in a Jam Session Environment! (Part 1)

Juno-nominated saxophonist Ryan Oliver will be hosting a jam session in Metro Hall at the VCM. Each session will provide players with an opportunity to jam on specific tunes and themes. At each session, Ryan will talk and demonstrate approaches and provide students with a workshop to take home including useful real world concepts to practice and develop.
Over these 2 workshops students will play the same repertoire and work towards improving their abilities on stage. It is strongly recommended for players to attend both sessions as they will have an opportunity to work on repertoire and concepts and build on them at the second jam.
