About this event
Grow confident, capable aquatic leaders. Register for the Spring 2026 Aquatic Professional Development Meeting (APDM), then follow the provided link to complete a separate registration for the in-person SEE Auditor session. BONUS this year: Spring 2026 APDM includes SEE Auditor Certification (Supervision Enhancement and Evaluation) for eligible staff with a minimum of 100 hours of lifeguard experience. This is an excellent opportunity to invest in supervisors and emerging leaders, equipping them with practical strategies to engage staff, strengthen leadership skills, and build confidence in aquatic centre safety and operations. Participants will attend April 15 at Langara College, plus one additional in-person session selected from 12 dates offered throughout the Lower Mainland. For those travelling from outside the region, a next-day session is available for convenience. (In-person SEE session registration must be completed immediately after APDM registration.) APDM also serves as the Lifesaving Society BC & Yukon in-person Affiliate Meeting, providing essential updates on programs, events, and current initiatives. Leadership development is supported through the PERMA framework (Positive Emotion, Engagement, Relationships, Meaning, and Achievement)—a proven approach to enhancing wellbeing, resilience, and workplace engagement, and a leadership language already familiar to many new aquatic staff. Please email amandab@lifesaving.bc.ca with any dietary restrictions or accommodation requirements.
